Paul Caruso simultaneously plays the Stick and sings. His live performances usually feature a wide variety of instrumental and vocal styles based on jazz, reggae, rock and blues to create a truly unique sound.

In addition to the Chapman Stick® Caruso also plays many other instruments on his new CD "Legend Of Haunted Mountain" including mandolin, 12 and 6 string acoustic guitars as well as the Jerry Jones sitar guitar with harp.

"Legend of haunted Mountain" features original material as well as the classic song “Spooky” and Bob Marley’s “Misty Morning”. The album includes three original instrumental compositions, “Metamorphosis” a mandolin duet, “Herb Goes to Greenland” a chapman stick and drums composition and “Pacific Skies” which features violin, percussion and chapman stick reminiscent of Pat Metheny.

Other highlights of the album are “Supernatural Life” a song about vampires and werewolves, “The Legend of Haunted Mountain” about a mountain haunted after a mining accident, “Mystic Girl” featuring sitar guitar and chapman stick and “Dragonslayer” a medieval piece with mandolin and chapman stick.

Also included on the album are “Voodoo Moon” about a voodoo priestess in New Orleans and Trippin Confusion.

Caruso is joined by Gary Flori on drums and percussion, Melissa Ingalls and Mark Caldwell on backing vocals, Jimmy Lange on Hammond B-3 organ and Loribeth Gregory on violin.
